Streamlining the Payment Experience

Customer Payment Portal

With fraud becoming less of a buzzword and more of a reality, having security within our online platforms is becoming increasingly top of mind for our customers. This is particularly crucial for routine activities like conducting credit card transactions – which are common business practices.

The FlexLync Pay™ solution from Siemens Global Business Services (GBS) is taking this pain point and revolutionizing the way customers can manage their invoices and payments. By developing a platform that prioritizes not just security, but also flexibility and transparency, users can confidently manage their accounts. It is nice to feel secure, but knowing you are, is even better.

So, what can users expect when using the platform?

- A single, dedicated channel to manage their account payables (AP)

- Access to multiple payment options including ACH and credit card

- Enhanced credit card transaction security by eliminating the need to gather and process card credentials manually

- Largely automized and digitized payment process including cash application

“With the introduction of FlexLync Pay we provide Siemens customers the key to the car. They can manage their account payables themselves, interact with collectors and the Siemens businesses, as well as manage how and when they would like to pay their invoices. The portal also offers the convenience to our customers to work through their invoices whenever their time allows, independent from the availability of their contact person within Siemens,” Wolfgang Satori, O2C Head in GBS Americas states.

Check out some of the key features the FlexLync Pay platform offers:

Everything you need in one single place

For Siemens GBS, FlexLync Pay is an exciting addition to the growing innovative portfolio of the shared services provider. With its heavy contribution to the company's breakthrough targets, and its leveraging of digitalization, it is an opportunity for the organization to stay future-ready in the market.

The platform also has a huge significance for the organization’s tool landscape. On the impact, Wolfgang states:

“We are placing a state-of-the-art tool in one of Siemens’ core processes to facilitate interactions with customers, accepting payments, providing receipts and securing deliveries through credit card pre-authorizations. Our commitment to value creation provides our customers peace of mind for enhancements such as system changes, digital evolution and upcoming features. One of the next steps to be implemented will be a download functionality for invoice duplicates, allowing customers to autonomously download invoice duplicates in an electronic format.”

For the Opportunity-to-Cash (O2C) team within GBS specifically, it is an extension to its growing track record. This has been the largest O2C project across the Americas region to date with a cross-functional team involved across multiple business lines, locations, and expertise coming together.

Head of Digital Solutions (DS) at Siemens GBS Nikolas Barth states, “I’m super proud of having achieved the MVP go-live according to our challenging initial plan. This was only possible with a cross-functional team of experts working together with a common goal in mind.”

The FlexLync Pay solution brings flexibility and self-service capabilities to our customers and with more features on the horizon to be added, it is set to continue offering a secure, flexible, and transparent experience for all current and potential customers. “We truly hope with all these advantages we will be able to have more customers join the FlexLync Pay journey.”
