Siemens GBS takes on SSOW 2025


At Siemens GBS, our growth and ongoing commitment are evident in our day-to-day. So, when the opportunity to engage in industry conversations, learn from fellow members and share our journey is available – we make the most of it. At this year’s Shared Services & Outsourcing Week (SSOW) conference, we were kept busy with delivering keynote speeches, welcoming a delegation of GBS attendees to our Orlando office to share what best practices we are engaging in, and proudly taking home industry awards. Welcoming fellow Shared Services teams into our office

We had the amazing opportunity to host a delegation of shared service provider attendees at our offices in Orlando. The session was filled with inspiring questions and engaging discussions about the set-up of a successful GBS, customer relationship management, employee engagement and innovation. Additionally, we delved into topics such as customer value and post-pandemic office design, making it a truly enriching experience for all participants.

Industry Panel Discussions

During the conference, our Head of Siemens GBS Americas Christof Fahr was invited to participate in two panel discussions with fellow GBS leaders. They had engaging discussions on best practices for automation, process error reduction, and attrition as well as defining what successful service experience management looks like.

A Night of Recognition

The SSON (Shared Services and Outsourcing Network) Impact Awards is a globally recognized, annual industry awards ceremony, which honors and celebrates service delivery teams who have exceeded industry standards in their SS&O initiatives.

This year, we brought home the Change Management & Business Transformation first-place award! Our submission surrounded our successful digital transformation of the GBS Americas Hub. As a region, we were able to show how different cultures and backgrounds can come together with a focus on customer value. Our transformation also resulted in new business from our customers combined with improved productivity, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.

We also received runner-up awards in the categories World’s Best GBS 2025 and Customer Centricity Impact where we highlighted our GenAI Symposium offering - an innovative consulting format developed to help customers identify areas in which AI can support daily work, recognize work process challenges and create solutions for increased operational efficiency and technological integration.

The World’s Best GBS Award aims to identify an outstanding shared services organization that embodies innovative and forward-looking policies, delivering value beyond mere process efficiencies. It is a tremendous honor to be recognized alongside the world's largest shared services. This recognition highlights our team's solid strategies and innovative technologies in driving operational excellence and business growth for our customers, showcasing our passion and dedication.
